Congratulations Bobby Hodgen, CSN Member of the month for November. Here is what Bobby had to say about why he loves crossfit and CSN!
Why I love CrossFit?
CrossFit because it brings all sorts of people together. From people just starting out, to seasoned veterans, to people of all ages! When you walk into any box anywhere in the world, everyone is very welcoming and all egos are left at the door. CrossFit is more than just flopping around on the ground doing copious amounts of burpees. It challenges you to be prepared for anything, whether it be a technical gymnastics move or a heavy Olympic lift. Just when you think you can’t do anymore, you push yourself to the absolute max and complete the WOD. That same mentality carries over to my everyday life and that’s why I love it.
Why I love CSN?
I come for the beer and stay for the WOD!! I couldn’t be happier with the trainers at CSN. They know how to program a WOD so you can go all out, be totally exhausted, and still come back the next day. Just when I think I can’t do something, they break it down and spend time with me individually to make sure I am doing it correctly and safely. Everyone at CSN is so encouraging and fun to workout with. It has become more than just a place to work out.

A big congratulations to Amy Schireman for being October's member of the month! Here's what she had to say:
CrossFit Sierra Nevada has greatly improved many aspects of my life. From health, stress level, self esteem, and the outlook I have on life. Everyday I go in there is a new challenge waiting for me. One of the hardest parts is getting the mental mindset to know that I can do it, and when I am unsure of myself there is always someone to encourage and give me the push I need to succeed. No matter what size, shape, or ability level there is something here for everyone. CrossFit has taught me, when you think you have nothing left to give, to dig a little deeper and push just a little more and never give up. I have had many firsts here doing things that I never thought were possible. I'm sure there are many more to come. The sense of accomplishment is unspeakable, and there are truly not enough words to express my gratitude toward the people who do this with me everyday. Thank you for helping me become a better me.

Congratulations Steve Markwell, Crossfit Sierra Nevada Athlete of the Month. We value your dedication.
Here is what Steve has to say,
'I started Crossfit because I was getting tired of going to the gym and doing the same thing over and over again. The staff offer you something new and challenging to do everyday. The variety of exercise seems endless. I enjoy going to Crossfit Sierra Nevada because the staff is very accommodating, helpful and encouraging. I appreciate the time they take to explain and show you how to do things that are new or unfamiliar.'

Congratulations Melinda! for earning CrossFit Sierra Nevada's June Athlete of the month.
Hear why Melinda Moon loves CrossFit.
'Our perceived lack of physical or mental strength leaves doors wide open for failure or lapse of judgment. Crossfit is a humbling challenge that allows me to crush and demoralize those weaknesses on the regular - while also providing a welcome glimpse into how much I am already capable of. The dark, seedy, competitive demon inside of me definitely appreciates what crossfit offers.
Working out at CSN has been an outstanding beginning to my CF adventures. I leave everyday smiling, even if moments before, while running around the building in 350 degree heat, I start questioning every decision I've ever made. The physical strength I've gained at CSN is a mere facet of the many reasons I'll continue to show up and wreck myself daily.'
